Field of Foxgloves 1

$650.00

Watercolor white line woodblock monotype, 2025

I don’t have a favorite flower, but foxgloves are totally my favorite flower. What’s better than one stalk of those beguiling spotted blooms? A whole field of them! Once I worked the kinks out of my technique to making multiple printings from a single block onto one piece of paper, I was excited to make this quadrant of foxgloves in their (mostly) natural shades. These are purple, blue, mauve and pink, delicate and translucent beauties.

The Process of Presence

These white line woodblock paintings are a masterclass in patience, presence, and pacing. I cannot rush the actions, nor can I dawdle. To work on these pieces really is a moving meditation, and I think that sense of peace and centeredness comes across in the work.
