Watercolor white line woodblock monotype, 2025

Foxgloves usually come in pale shades of lavender or blush. But that’s not really my style. My favorite color palette is face-punching-rainbow, so I had to make another Field of Foxgloves in these splashy hues. They really help tip the composition toward the hi-viz pop-art look I was imagining when I realized I could paint/print multiples of these white line woodblock works. They make me smile - big. I hope they make you smile, too!

The Process of Presence

These white line woodblock paintings are a masterclass in patience, presence, and pacing. I cannot rush the actions, nor can I dawdle. To work on these pieces really is a moving meditation, and I think that sense of peace and centeredness comes across in the work.
